This week on Taylor Community Connection we spotlight Susie’s Coats and Hannah’s Socks, two inspiring nonprofits that have come together to make sure no child goes without the warmth and dignity they deserve. Founded in Northwest Ohio, both organizations share a simple yet powerful mission: to provide coats, hats, gloves, and socks to children and families in need, no questions asked.

What began as separate efforts to meet essential needs has now grown into a unified movement. Through their combined programs, Susie’s Coats and Hannah’s Socks have placed coat closets directly inside schools and host annual distribution events, ensuring kids across the region have access to warm clothing all year long. Every coat, every pair of socks, and every gesture of kindness helps restore confidence and comfort to those who need it most.

This partnership also extends into community events like Socksgiving, a Taylor Automotive Family campaign that collects new socks for donation each November. Throughout the month, guests can drop off new socks at any Taylor dealership and even enjoy a service discount in return. Kids’ socks are especially needed, and every pair collected helps keep little feet warm during the coldest months of the year.

In our conversation, the team behind Susie’s Coats and Hannah’s Socks shares how collaboration and compassion fuel their mission, and how partnerships with local organizations make these life-changing efforts possible. Whether you are looking to volunteer, donate, or simply share the story, this episode is a reminder that the smallest items can make the biggest difference.
