WHO IS TAYLOR AUTOMOTIVE?
Since 1979, the Taylor Automotive Family has prioritized giving back and investing in the community that has supported them all these years. Their mantra of being locally owned and locally committed is not just words written on the wall or a plaque in one of their dealerships; they are the founding principles that help guide their company daily.
When Steve Taylor Sr. opened his first dealership, Taylor Buick, in downtown Toledo in 1979, he also committed to finding more ways to give back to his adopted hometown. Within a few years, he was involved with many local charities, schools, and non-profit organizations. Just writing a check or donating wasn't enough, so Steve served on many committees and boards and volunteered his time to make a difference in the community he loved.

Fast forward nearly 20 years later, and Steve's son, Steve Taylor II, joined the Taylor Automotive Family full-time in 1998 and quickly shared in his father's quest to make a positive difference in his hometown. Watching and learning from his father, Steve also wanted to do more to give back and get involved. Like his father, he volunteered and served on many boards. He also started programs like their Driven to Succeed campaign that rewarded high school seniors and gave them a chance to win a free car! He partnered with local schools and organizations and donated countless hours of his time and monetary donations to assist wherever possible.
Over the years, the Taylors have impacted thousands of lives through their collaboration and partnerships with various local organizations. They now even have five full-time Community Outreach Ambassadors on staff whose sole job is to find ways for the Taylor Automotive Family to get involved and give back all over Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
From Toledo to Lima, Perrysburg to Findlay, and everywhere in between, Taylor seeks out community partners to join forces with and provide a helping hand wherever they can!
When you hear the Taylor name in our area, some may think of the exquisite Cadillac Dealership on Central Ave. Others may think of Steve's catchy tagline, “I wanna See Ya, in a Kia!" And others may think, “Let's make it a FUN-DAY in a HYUNDAI!" But almost everyone will think of all the ways this Family has given back and the positive difference they have made in their communities.
