Some evenings capture the true spirit of community, service, and connection. The Sylvania Lions Club Charter Night, hosted at Taylor Automotive Family, was one of those nights.

Members and guests gathered to celebrate the club’s ongoing commitment to their powerful motto, “we serve.” The event highlighted the meaningful work the Sylvania Lions Club continues to do in support of neighbors throughout the area, focusing on compassion in action rather than recognition alone.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from Tom Cole, who shared stories and insights that encouraged everyone in the room to stay engaged in service and leadership. His message reinforced the idea that everyday generosity and consistent care are what truly move communities forward.

Charter Night was not only a celebration, it was also a chance to make a tangible difference. Proceeds from the event are being given to Sylvania Area Family Services to purchase food items for their pantry, directly supporting local families who are experiencing food insecurity.

With good food, meaningful conversations, and shared purpose, the Sylvania Lions Club Charter Night at Taylor Automotive Family showed what can happen when service minded people come together. It was a reminder that when community groups, local businesses, and volunteers unite, everyone benefits.
