This week on Taylor Community Connection we are excited to feature Brett Loney from the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts, an organization dedicated to enriching our region through music, dance, and world class performances. Brett’s passion for community engagement and the transformative power of the arts shines through in every initiative he leads.
Brett shares how TAPA continues to inspire audiences of all ages by supporting both the Toledo Symphony and the Toledo Ballet, nurturing local talent and expanding access to the arts across Northwest Ohio. Through thoughtful programming and community partnerships, TAPA ensures that artistic experiences remain accessible, meaningful, and enriching for families, students, and lifelong art lovers.
This season brings an extra sense of magic as the Toledo Ballet presents its beloved production of The Nutcracker at the Stranahan Theater and Great Hall. Performances run from December 12 through December 14, 2025, offering a cherished holiday experience for the entire community. The schedule includes:
Friday, December 12: 10:30 AM Young People’s Performance & 7:00 PM Evening Performance
Saturday, December 13: 2:00 PM Matinee & 7:00 PM Evening Performance
Sunday, December 14: 2:00 PM Matinee
Tickets and details are available through Live Arts Toledo and The Toledo Blade, giving families many opportunities to enjoy this timeless holiday tradition.
This year’s excitement began early with a very special moment during the December 12 Young People’s Performance, where our own Taylor Automotive Community Ambassador Terry Crosby took the stage in the iconic role of Mother Ginger. His lively appearance brought joy, laughter, and a true sense of community spirit to children and families in attendance.
The Nutcracker remains a treasured tradition that has captivated Toledo audiences for generations. Its beauty, grace, and storytelling perfectly reflect the impact that TAPA brings to our region through the arts.
Brett’s story highlights the heart of TAPA’s mission. From ballet and symphony performances to education and outreach, the alliance continues to strengthen our community through creativity, culture, and connection.
👏 Join us in celebrating Brett Loney and the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts for their dedication to inspiring the next generation and enriching the cultural landscape of Northwest Ohio.
