Raising Hope and Leadership Eliza Rindler and Allison Boesel on the Impact of Blood Cancer United

Change often begins when someone says yes to making a difference. In this episode of Taylor Community Connection, we sit down with Eliza Rindler, a student fundraiser, and Allison Boesel, Campaign Development Manager at Blood Cancer United, to talk about the power of community, leadership, and purpose driven action.

Allison shares insight into the organization’s recent name change from The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to Blood Cancer United. The new name reflects a broader understanding that there are hundreds of blood cancers, while the mission remains the same. Funding critical research and supporting patients both locally and beyond continues to be at the heart of their work.

Eliza brings a student perspective, sharing what inspired her to participate in the Student Visionaries of the Year program. She talks about stepping outside of her comfort zone, building confidence, and discovering her ability to lead and create impact. Through mentorship and teamwork, she learned that even small efforts can grow into meaningful change.

The conversation also highlights the incredible impact students in Northwest Ohio have made together, raising more than 3.1 million dollars through the program. This achievement reflects not only generosity, but also the strength of collaboration and the importance of empowering young leaders.

This episode is a reminder that when people of all ages come together with purpose, they can create real change and bring hope to those who need it most.

👉 Watch now to hear how Eliza Rindler and Allison Boesel are inspiring the next generation to lead, give back, and make a difference through Blood Cancer United.
