A basketball season is about more than wins and losses. Sometimes, it becomes an opportunity to make a real impact far beyond the court. During this past season, the Taylor Automotive Family partnered with The University of Toledo Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs to support the important work being done by Cherry Street Mission Ministries across Northwest Ohio.
Through the partnership, a donation was made for every foul shot completed by the Toledo Rockets throughout the season. With every point scored at the free throw line, support continued to grow for individuals and families facing homelessness, hunger, and hardship within the community.
At the end of the season, Taylor Automotive Family proudly presented a total donation of $1,720 to Cherry Street Mission, helping further the organization’s mission of providing compassion, care, shelter, meals, recovery programs, and life changing support services to those in need.
For decades, Cherry Street Mission has been a cornerstone of hope in Northwest Ohio, serving individuals and families through emergency shelter, housing programs, workforce development, meals, and recovery support. Their work focuses not only on immediate needs, but also on creating long term pathways toward stability and independence.
This partnership reflects the power of community collaboration. By bringing together local athletics, business leadership, and nonprofit service, the initiative turned every free throw into something bigger, a direct investment in hope and support for neighbors throughout the region.
Taylor Automotive Family is proud to stand alongside organizations and programs that continue making a difference every day. Thank you to both Toledo Rockets basketball teams for an exciting season and to Cherry Street Mission for the life changing work they provide across Northwest Ohio.
👉 Together, every shot counted and every point helped strengthen support for individuals and families in our community.
