Education has the power to change everything, especially when it is rooted in care, connection, and creativity. This week on Taylor Community Connection we feature Nicole Bores, founder of A Village Learning Center in Toledo, whose dedication to children and families is transforming the way students learn and grow.

A wife, mother of five, and lifelong educator, Nicole stepped away from the traditional classroom to create something entirely new, a learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and capable of success. At A Village Learning Center, students from preschool through twelfth grade experience a personalized, Montessori-inspired approach that meets them where they are and empowers them to learn at their own pace.

In our conversation, Nicole shares what inspired her to take this bold step and how her team of passionate educators brings purpose into every lesson. She also explains why individualized learning builds confidence and curiosity, helping students not just achieve academically but thrive as whole individuals.

Nicole’s story is a reminder that education is not one-size-fits-all. It is a partnership built on understanding, encouragement, and the belief that every child holds limitless potential. Through her work, A Village Learning Center continues to be a beacon of hope and possibility for students and families across Toledo.
