About the event

Join the Scott Center for Observation, Treatment and Transition for the Heal Together: Race For Sickle Cell 5K Run/Walk, an annual community event in Toledo focused on raising awareness and funding for sickle cell disease. The event brings together families, healthcare professionals, advocates, and community supporters to stand with those impacted by sickle cell disease and help advance programming for patients, especially those transitioning from pediatric to adult care.


This community event combines a meaningful cause with an active and family-friendly atmosphere. Registration is $25 and includes a race T-shirt, swag bag, race bib, and medal. The event takes place at Ottawa Park and includes both the 5K race and community walk, along with recognition moments, entertainment, and activities throughout the morning.
